New in today is an early 19thc French, silver plated ‘Bouillotte’ lamp comprising three arms with adjustable charcoal painted tole shade. It has fine detail to the metal work, with a pineapple finial and acanthus decoration throughout. It is newly electrified and measures: 63cm high. c.1840’s
Bouillotte lamps were designed and adapted in the 18th Century, to be used on a Bouillotte table, both named after the games of cards popular at that time.
