A fine William & Mary Black & gilt Japanned chest on stand of good quality and condition. Depicting landscapes, foliage & warriors ( some chasing butterflies with their swords ). The cupboard doors, decorated on both sides, with shaped filigree gilt brass lock plates & hinges, enclosing an arrangement of ten drawers decorated similarly, but in a state of wonderful preservation. The stand fitted with a drawer over a shaped apron; raised on six turned and tapering legs joined by stretchers, on bun feet. . .
